Hours7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am - rotating across days and nights
Role Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced Engineering Team Leader who has strong multi skilled engineering experience to manage site maintenance activities, ensuring efficient reactive and planned work. You will lead shift engineers and technical operators, optimise asset performance, and support QSHE, Process Safety, Capital Projects, and Continuous Improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- People Management: Lead and mentor the engineering team, allocate resources effectively, recognise achievements, and handle conflicts.
- Operational Performance: Attend shift handovers, conduct root cause analysis, ensure accurate task logging in SAP PM, and work with the production team to improve machine performance.
- Safety & Quality: Uphold safety and environmental policies, develop risk control standards, ensure LOTO compliance, support HACCP practices, and assist with audits.
- Financial Oversight: Work with the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor to find cost-effective solutions and maintain repair budgets.
Essential Criteria:
- Relevant Engineering Qualification or Equivalent Experience.
- Experience leading a team.
- Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Motivated and able to work independently.
Desirable Criteria:
- Electrical bias preferred.
- Compex trained (advantageous).
- Ability to coach and mentor apprentices (beneficial but not essential).
Competencies:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in equipment maintenance and pre-emptive fault identification.
- Ability to train and support team members.
